Maker Faire Vienna 2019 - Day 2
OSM stand on day 2 – before the crowds of visitors
On day 2 of the Maker Faire Vienna 2019, the stream of visitors did not abate. Numerous visitors came again who wanted to find out more about OpenstreetMap.
Many of them came into contact with the map for the first time, while others already use it regularly in their private or professional lives. Another group of people actively contributes to the map, were happy to see us and thanked us for the map and the opportunities it has given them. Since we don’t maintain the map, we are happy to pass on our thanks to the OSM community! One of the key messages of our information was that OSM is a community project and only works through the work of each individual.
The conclusion of the Maker Faire Vienna 2019 is that with the OpenstreetMap stand, we were able to address a new group of people for us personally in this context (trade fairs) and would very much like to repeat this next year.
