AGIT 2019 – Travel and stand build-up

This year, Markus and I are once again representing the OpenStreetMap Association Austria at AGIT. As last year, we will try to capture our impressions for you in the form of blog entries over the next few days.

Today began with packing up the trade fair materials in the morning, then loading them into the car, driving to Salzburg and finally setting up the stand.

Unfortunately, our departure was delayed by about two hours due to a medical incident, but we were finally able to make the journey together. Despite a small handicap, Markus was able to actively support me during the construction.

Since we were assigned a new stand location this year, we had to invest some planning time in the stand construction.

Some of the exhibition material has already been set up.

Another view of the OSM stand

Visitors will recognise the familiar OSM tablecloth.

Since we have a little more space than usual, we have opted for an open stand so that visitors can take a closer look at maps and trade fair materials.

Finally, we made a few minor adjustments to present the stand in a more appealing way. We are very happy with the result. There may be a few more tweaks tomorrow, but since AGIT starts tomorrow, we will focus more on the questions and interests of the visitors.
