AGIT 2019 - Day 1 & OSGeo Day

OSM stand before the crowds of visitors
After yesterday’s preparation day, we didn’t have much work to do in the morning to get the stand ready for visitors.
Come to the OSM stand, we have brought a great map with us.
This year, Markus came up with something special that was very well received by the visitors:
By the end of the day, almost all 40 cockies had been eaten.
Anita provided us with QGIS books for the stand again this year, which were examined by many visitors.
Books to browse and promotional material in return for a small donation will be available again this year at the OSM stand.
Some of them were displayed on the OSGeo table because they were more thematically appropriate there.
At the OSGeo table, you can find information material and delicious QGIS cookies.
The first OSGeo Day took place today. Various topics from the OSGeo and OpenStreetmap areas were presented in three lecture blocks.
The audience is eagerly awaiting the first lecture.
As can be seen from the photos, there was a great deal of interest. At times, even all the standing room was occupied, so there was hardly any space left in the room. In any case, we were very pleased that there was so much interest in this event.
The talks on OSGeo Day were very well attended.

In between, we had to devote ourselves to manning the stand and answering some tricky questions from visitors.

For a change, a drone flew through the corridors.
Look out, here come the drones.
I even found time for a selfie.

At the end of the day, we were both a little exhausted and looked forward to a pleasant end to the day with food and drink.
