Our new website is online - Welcome!

We are very happy to present you the newly redesigned website of OpenStreetMap Austria! The redesign was necessary to improve user-friendliness, to use more modern technologies and to offer our visitants a clearer structure and new content. With this relaunch, we want to offer you the best possible experience and make information more accessible.

New design and improved structure

A central goal of the revision was to make the website more modern, intuitive and easier to maintain. The design is based on a clear layout and an optimized display on all devices – whether you are surfing on a desktop or with a smartphone.

The navigation has also been completely revised so that the desired information can be found quickly and easily.

New content and features

In addition to the visual and technical improvements, we have completely revised the content of our website. One highlight is the FAQ, where we try to answer many of the frequently asked questions and provide practical tips related to OpenStreetMap.

Furthermore:

• The source code of the website is now freely available and hosted on GitLab. This way, you can not only see how the website works, but also actively participate in its development.
• You can report bugs or suggest improvements directly in the GitLab issue tracker.

We have also taken care to provide information that is helpful not only for OpenStreetMap enthusiasts, but also for interested authorities, companies and end users.

Involving the community

Although the revision was discussed primarily within the association, we would now like to hear your opinions! Your feedback is important to us, and we warmly invite you to explore the new website and give us your feedback.
