On Wednesday, 19 September 2018, the 3rd vienna geo meetup will take place.

This is where many people interested in geospatial technology meet to exchange their experiences and news in the OpenGeo area.

Just check out the official Meetup page, as registration is requested so that the organisers can estimate how many participants to expect.

Participation is free.

The organisers also welcome suggestions for new talks or if you would like to present topics yourself. We from OpenStreetMap Austria are also present in large numbers each time and report on news from OpenStreetMap.

On Monday, 4 June 2018 at 6:00 pm, the second meeting of the Vienna GIS scene will take place under the name ViennaGeo Meetup!

At ‘mapping parties’, volunteers help to put neglected crisis regions on the map. This data is important for the work of aid organisations so that they can react faster and in a more targeted manner in the event of a crisis. The Red Cross and Médecins Sans Frontières are jointly organising a mapathon on 22 March to mark World Water Day.

Who can participate?

Anyone can participate, whether you are a beginner or an experienced mapper. All you need to bring is your own laptop (including a mouse).
