Purpose of the association

Promoting the OpenStreetMap internet project in Austria and the collaboration and networking of the OpenStreetMap community. Supporting and distributing free geodata and open-source GIS software, promoting education and awareness in the field of geoinformation. The association serves as a communication platform between commercial providers, private individuals and the OpenStreetMap community to solve problems and improve data quality. In addition, cooperation with international organisations for the sustainable use and development of open geodata is promoted.
