On June 3-4, 2023, the Maker Faire, the trade fair for DIYers and tinkerers, took place in the MetaCity in Vienna. We were also there as the Austrian LocalChapter!

We had a great stand on the upper floor, and its positioning on a corner allowed us to set up a monitor on each side of the table at the same time, where we could introduce interested visitors to the world of OpenStreetMap - and there were quite a few of them over the two days! Three of us, geologist, ScubbX and Skunk, manned the OSM info table and hardly had a moment to ourselves.

Viewed on February 11, 2023: In the Beethoven section of the [House of Music (Vienna)] (https://www.hausdermusik.com/), a museum about music, there is a digital map that uses OpenStreetMap data!

On February 22, 2023, the Vienna OSM community will meet starting at 7:00 p.m. at Schlupfwinkel (Kleine Neugasse 10, 1040 Vienna).

After almost 2 years, it’s time again for a real-life Stammtisch in Vienna!

The meeting point is, as in the past, the Wieden Bräu at Waaggasse 5, 1040 Vienna from 7:00 PM. If the weather is nice, we will meet in the beer garden.

starting point is the beginning of the city hiking trail 5 (Bisamberg route, https://www.wien.gv.at/umwelt/wald/freizeit/wandern/wege/wanderweg5.html) in Stammersdorf (terminal stop of the 31 tram line), where we will set off at 1:00 p.m. to follow the city hiking trail of the same name!
